Will I be able to delete my PromoterBee account if I want to stop using it?
Yes. Email accounts@promoterbee.com from the email address that is linked to the account if you would like your account deleted.
Where will my specials and events display if I add them to PromoterBee?
They will display across the PromoterBee Network: www.FindMeSpecials.com, www.FindMeEvents.com, the iphone App Find Specials, the local FindMeSpecials Twitter and Facebook pages (By Popularity), and across our affiliate network of local bloggers using our calendar widget as well as any other website or iphone apps that access our API. Can I add other users to my account?
Yes. From the "My Account" section, you can choose to add people to all the listings you manage or just a single listing. You can also choose whether or not they will receive email notifications.
Do I have to get the daily email notifications?
No. You have the option to get daily notifications, a weekly digest email or nothing at all.
Can I manage multiple spots with PromoterBee?
Yes. You simply setup the account and once you have added your first business, you can add others from the main dashboard. There is no limit to the number of businesses you can manage at this time.
Do you have an iPhone/iPad app?
Not yet. We are in the process of building a mobile version that will allow you to access certain features on the fly. There are plans to build an iPhone app later this year.
What's the catch? Why are you giving all of these free features?
We want businesses to use PromoterBee and add their specials and events to our database. We find value in having a resource that other businesses will want to access. We also think that once businesses see how beneficial the free features are, they will try using some of the paid promotional features as well.
How do I change my password?
Go to My Account. Click on Edit Information underneath the My Info section in the left hand column. Then, click on Change Password.
How do I change the hours of operation?
Click on the Edit Business link underneath the map/photo area on Home
when you are logged into PromoterBee next to the business you would
like to edit. You will see the Hours of Operation halfway down the
next screen. Select a day and then add the appropriate hours. Repeat
the process for each day.
In Buzz Monitor Setup, it asks me to login with my personal Facebook account. I don't want to share my personal info or have anything posted to my personal wall?
PromoterBee uses your Facebook information ONLY to collect a list of the Facebook Pages you manage. You will see this list once you have connected PromoterBee to your Facebook account. You can select from this list to connect the desired Page. Once you have connected a Page, PromoterBee will ONLY monitor and publish to that page. It will not monitor or publish to your personal account.
(*If you do not have a Fan Page, we recommend that you set one up for your business. However, you can opt to connect PromoterBee to your Profile by selecting that option.)
How do I know my Twitter and Facebook passwords are secure?
The Twitter and Facebook login windows are direct portals to those two sites, we do not store your password on our servers.
How do I deselect Facebook?
Once you are connected to Facebook on the Social Media setup page, you have the option to select "None" from the Accessible Fan Pages options.
When you save that step, it will no longer be connected to any Facebook pages.
My business is on yelp, but PromoterBee is not picking it up.
PromoterBee uses phone number to connect PromoterBee to Yelp. Does your Yelp profile have the same phone number as the PromoterBee profile? You can edit the profile on PromoterBee to match the Yelp phone number and then connect them in Buzz Monitor Setup
My location is no longer connected to Facebook and I cannot reconnect
If you login and go to Buzz Monitor with that location selected, do you see a red message stating that Facebook has been disconnected?
If you click on Modify/Setup this monitor on the Facebook section, does it display a red message? Does it allow you to click Connect to Facebook and load the pages you have access to?
If it allows you to go through this process and seems to indicate that you are connected, let us know.
If it is preventing you from connecting, we have seen one issue occur that you might check. Go to your page on Facebook. When your Fan Page loads, click the "Edit Page" link in the center of the page. Click on "Apps" in the lefthand column under the page photo. Look for the application labeled "PromoterBee / FindMeSpecials". Click the "Edit Settings" link. See what the settings say. If it shows that you have "blocked" PromoterBee, then unblock it. (We have not figured out why this has happened to some people.)
If this still doesn't work, you can try to click on the words PromoterBee/FindMeSpecials to go to the App page for PromoterBee. You can unblock from there as well.
Why am I only allowed 140 characters for Facebook?
If you have the message set to send to BOTH Facebook and Twitter, it will limit you to 140 characters. Simply, uncheck the Twitter box and you will notice the character limit increase to 255 for Facebook.
I just imported my email contacts...on the excel CSV it had all the birthdays in the spreadsheet but when I imported it it did not include them? Why are my CSV email file's birthdays not showing up?
If you go to Contacts>>Email Subscribers and you click "Import", there is a little link that says to "Download a Sample Sheet." Did you use that sheet as a guide? If so, this may be an issue that occurred with the latest version of our product. We are looking into the issue and will let you know how to proceed.
If the sheet you imported did not match the downloaded sheet, then it may not work.
If I setup an account, will I be locked into any kind of contract or have to pay anything?
No. We do not ask for any payment information in the setup process. You can stop using PromoterBee at any point. We will even keep displaying your specials and events across our networks until they need verification (90 days). If you like using PromoterBee, you can try any of the Pay Features using the $25 credit that is issued for FREE on your account. Once that credit is depleted, you can replenish your account credits by entering your payment information. You will only be charged what you decide to add to your account once, and your credits will be updated accordingly. Each time your credits are depleted, you will have the option to add more to continue using pay features. We will not store your credit card information.
How much does it cost?
If you look at the pricing page, you will notice that there are many free features that cost you nothing. There are also optional pay features which you can elect to use. These pay features will incur charges on a per use basis. (We even have a promotion running where we'll match the 1st $100 dollars you add to your account balance!)
